Lace Dress

I'm on Bergdorf Goodman's e-mail list to see the beautiful clothes they sell.  Of course, I've never bought anything from them because of the astronomical cost, but the items are nice to look at.

I just encountered this lace dress, designed by Emilio Pucci and made in Italy.  The dress really appeals to me with its unusual beauty.  I can imagine wearing it -- but I'd need help coming up with the $2,695 price-tag.

Does the dress appeal to you, too?

  1. The color and cut are so beautiful, and yes, you would rock it if you wore it.

Thank goodness for thrift and consignment stores - us everday working stiffs can score magical pre-owned frocks - and still pay our rent and buy groceries :)

  3. It's very beautiful. I do the same thing, except with the Outnet. I still dream of owning a dress that makes me look half as sleek, powerful, and feminine as the white McQueen dress that Lara Pulver wears as Irene Adler. 4. I love looking at photos of fancy expensive clothing just for the artistic appeal. I could never wear this dress though. Too form fitting for my pear shape.

  5. WOW! Love it. I have been dress shopping and my fave style right now is ivory or beige silk with a lace overlay. SO sexy and classic!

  6. That dress is gorgeous. I would love to own something like this sometime. I don't know where I would possibly wear it, but it would be nice to have.

  8. The dress is fantastic - I would love to have something like that. But the cost is crazy, considering you might only wear it once.

  9. What a gorgeous dress, what draws me in is the feminine details and the lace (I'm a big fan of lace).
Btw, did you receive my email?

  10. I like the dress on the model and I can definitely see you wearing it. Kind of pricey though!

  11. Oh it is beautiful! You have the legs to pull that off for sure and the color is amazing! It looks like one of those gowns you could wear to a fancy costume ball and wear a chic peacock mask :)

  12. Too much $$$ for me to even consider liking it. I'm way too much of a realist. I like lace things but I gotta say, I'm not feeling the color! I wish it was a little more greenish, ya know?

  13. I'm gonna be the odd man out here, and say I'm not a fan. IDK, I don't like the color, the cut, the sleeves. Not for me.

    1. That's okay. Fashion is about taste and preferences vary. You can save the money and buy a used car instead!

  14. I could possible, with selling off a few choice items, come up with the cash, but um, actually parting with it for a dress ... highly unlikely. Pretty dress and I could rock it for sure, but someone needs to justify the crazy pricetag.

  15. Lace is a personal favorite of mine - however with that price tag, well i could probably get a new wardrobe.
